Robotic or laparoscopic approach for hysterectomy: comparison of operative outcomes and cost

نویسندگان

چکیده

Purpose: The present study aimed to compare surgical outcomes and cost analysis of robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) conventional laparoscopic (CLS) hysterectomy procedures.
Materials Methods: patients who underwent total robotic or with without bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy due benign gynecological disorders such as uterine fibroid, abnormal bleeding, endometrial hyperplasia, adenomyosis, persistent ovarian cysts, chronic pelvic pain were retrospectively evaluated.
Results: A 80 women RAS CLS during the period. mean operative time was 187 ±10 min. in 133 ±24 groups, respectively. group 17.710 TL, 7000 TL. Conclusion: Both hysterectomies for indications are safe procedures negligible complication rates. is a more expensive procedure compared CLS.

Perioperative Outcomes of Robotic Versus Laparoscopic Hysterectomy for Benign Disease

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES We compared the perioperative outcomes of hysterectomy performed by robotic (RH) versus laparoscopic (LH) routes for benign indications using the Dindo-Clavien scale for classification of the surgical complications. METHODS Retrospective chart review of all patients who underwent robotic (n=288) and laparoscopic (n=257) hysterectomies by minimally invasive surgeons a...

Comparison of the Operative Outcomes and Learning Curves between Laparoscopic and Robotic Gastrectomy for Gastric Cancer

BACKGROUND Minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic gastrectomy, has become more popular in the treatment of gastric cancer. However, few studies have compared the learning curves between laparoscopic and robotic gastrectomy for gastric cancer. METHODS Data were prospectively collected between July 2008 and Aug 2014. A total of 145 patients underwent minimally invasive g...

Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

In 1495 Leonardo Da Vinci designed what was to be the first automated humanoid and it is speculated that this was to be for the entertainment of royalty. It is not known whether an actual prototype was ever built. The word robot was first introduced by the Czech writer Karel Capek in his play Rossum’s Universal Robots (R.U.R) in 1920. The Czech word robota means labor or servitude. The play tak...

Comparison of minimally invasive surgical approaches for hysterectomy at a community hospital: robotic-assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy and laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy

The study reported here compares outcomes of three approaches to minimally invasive hysterectomy for benign indications, namely, robotic-assisted laparoscopic (RALH), laparoscopic-assisted vaginal (LAVH) and laparoscopic supracervical (LSH) hysterectomy. The total patient cohort comprised the first 237 patients undergoing robotic surgeries at our hospital between August 2007 and June 2009; the ...
